Dr. Brian LaGreca
Dr. LaGreca is recognized throughout Montana and Wyoming as a physician with a strong work ethic, dedicated to providing high quality comprehensive eye care to the thousands of patients he has treated over the years. Dr. LaGreca is trained in all facets of eye surgery and worked as a co-medical director at the first refractive laser center in the Billings area. An experienced surgeon, he has performed over ten thousand cataract surgeries. He is also one of the first of a group of surgeons to renew his board certification through the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. LaGreca enjoys relaxing with his family, skiing, fishing, and hiking. He and his wife Stacey have three children, Cassie, Brice, and Sydney. Quiet and unassuming, Dr. LaGreca is known for his compassionate touch, tireless dedication and desire to give back to the community. As a business owner and surgeon, his mission is to "make a positive impact in the lives of my fellow workers and the patients for whom we care."

Dr. Larry Erpenbach
Dr. Erpenbach was born in Bakersfield , California . Two weeks after his birth, his family moved to Montana where he attended high school in Shelby and also in Helena .
In June of 1984, he joined The Eye Clinic Surgicenter specializing in comprehensive vision and ocular health exams, medical treatment for general eye infections, allergies, dry eye, eye injuries, glaucoma and contacts. He is available for consultations for cataract and refractive surgery and follow up evaluations. In 1986, Dr. Erpenbach started working in our office in Red Lodge one day a week.
Being very active outside of the office, Dr. Erpenbach and his wife Suzanne enjoy all outdoor activities including fly fishing, hiking, photography, competitive skeet and action pistol shooting, traveling, camping and cooking. He is the proud father of four children, Heather, Rachel, Jason, and Michael.

Nursing Staff: Sharon Tininenko, R.N. Sharon hales from North Dakota and has over 30 years of nursing experience. She has been in ophthalmic nursing for more then 18 years. Sharon keeps a watchful eye on our surgery department and with her attention to detail, she makes sure things are done just right. She works closely with our scrub assistants, Roxanne, Angie and Suzanne to make your experience with us as comfortable and stress free as possible.

Optical Department:
Our Optical department consists of a highly trained and dedicated staff up-to-date on current technology for your frames, lenses, and contacts. Dr. C. Byron Smith
C. Byron Smith, M.D. brings a new sub-specialty to Billings, Montana. He is a corneal sub-specialist by training, performing corneal transplants and treating difficult and unusual corneal conditions. Dr. Smith is also an experienced refractive surgeon with certification and training on at least three different lasers and microkeratomes, including WaveFront technology for precision LASIK vision correction.
Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas and completed his residency in neurology and general surgery at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.
He then went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Kansas. He performed his fellowship in cornea and anterior segment surgery at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City.
Dr. Smith brings with him a great amount of experience and expertise. He was formerly an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University of Kansas where he was director of residents’ training in cataract surgery. He is credited with a long list of accomplishments including involvement in several laser research projects and the development of computer software specific to the needs of his specialty. He will be a huge asset to our medical community and is looking forward to using his knowledge and skills to help those needing his care.

certification. All technicians must maintain certification through
continuing educational programs.
Suzanne, COT, our low vision technician expert, takes a
special interest in our patients with low vision to help them maximize

Tammy, COA, our Patient Assistance expert, will help you find options to help with financing medications if you are unable to afford them on your own.
Tyler, COA, ABO, NCLE, our Technology Expert, keeps our office on the cutting edge of new instraments that will help our staff / doctors diagnose issues with patients vision.
Celes, COA, our technician expert, she will see you from check-in to check-out.
Lauren, LASIK Assistant, is an advanced trained LASIK technician.
Dr. Mitchell Goff was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Weber State University with a degree in Business Administration and Finance and went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Goff served as an officer in the United States Army where he completed his medical internship and ophthalmology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He subsequently completed his fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California. After obtaining his board certification, he returned to San Antonio where he trained military and civilian ophthalmology residents as a University of Texas Health Science Center Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology.
After completing his military obligation, Dr. Goff moved back to Utah and joined Rocky Mountain Retina Consultants.
He is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Utah Medical Association, the Utah Ophthalmology Association, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Involved in various research projects, he has published scientific articles and textbook chapters on diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and ocular trauma.
Dr. Goff has lectured and participated in numerous presentations to other healthcare professionals, including an internationally attended, annual ophthalmology review course for which he served as director. He is also actively involved in the ongoing clinical research efforts at Rocky Mountain Retina Consultants.
